I am sure you know what employment is and what it means to you to be employed in an organization or a company.
The fact remains that the majority of people in this world are in some kind of employment to earn their livelihood.
However, in this new economy, there is a lot of talk about the growing dissatisfaction, job insecurity, poor pay, long and odd hours of work, exploitation, lack of growth, bad bosses, and numerous other complaints in employment.
This has resulted in looking for alternative means of earning money like freelancing or even setting up and starting your own business.
In spite of these real facts, do you know that being in employment can still be a blessing in disguise?
Here are the 5 big reasons which you should consider if you are planning to quit your employment that you might hate to be in.
1. Getting Employed And Being In Employment Is Free Of Cost
If you are always financially needy and normally do not have money saved in your bank account to pay your bills then getting employed in an organization or a company and being in that employment would be the best option for you.
This is because getting employed and being in employment is totally free of cost as you are not supposed to pay any money to get a job or employment and to remain in that employment forever if you wish to.
Moreover, if you do not possess any specialized skills in selling or in getting customers or clients then being in employment can provide you with the best sanctuary for your survival.
In such a case, you do not have to go to the forest to hunt for your food on a daily basis as the employment that you have in a company or in an organization will provide you the sanctuary and feed you with an assured and guaranteed monthly salary or a paycheck.
Even if you might have a strong understanding and knowledge about business, entrepreneurship, sales, and marketing but you will still require funds and extra money to set up and start your own business as starting a business is generally not free of cost.
If you do not have money to invest then you will not be able to survive in business.
On top of that, there is no guarantee that your business will be successful in the long run as there can also be financial losses and wastage if it fails.
Whereas there is no such risk in employment as the only financial risk involved is a job loss.
And if you plan to start your career as a freelancer or as a self-employed independent contractor and get clients to work with then be prepared for a roller coaster ride with your income as you might face many ups and downs with your monthly earnings.
On top of that, you need to have your own workspace or on rent, if you are self-employed or a freelancer and need to pay for any work tools and equipment, stationery, staff, etc. from your own pocket.
Whereas being in employment in a company or an organization does not have any such liabilities as you will be using all the resources and infrastructure that your employer provides in your employment free of cost.
So by looking at all the possibilities, you might agree that being in a sanctuary does provide financial safety, stability, and security even though hunting in a forest provides freedom and flexibility.
Therefore, employment definitely has a special place in the hearts and minds of many people in this economic and financial reality especially if you have no family business or any other means, support, and sources of income.
2. Employment Provides You With An Opportunity To Learn And Move Ahead In Your Life And Career
The second reason why employment can hold a special place in your life and career is the opportunity that you get to learn, read, understand and gain new knowledge, experience, and skills.
Since you do not have to worry so much about your income as it is assured at the end of each month you could invest a part of this salary income to invest on your own self by getting training and further education in the field of your choice and interest by attending seminars, webinars, and other training programs.
Your work experience in your current employment is also going to be of immense value for you in the future.
This can definitely help you either to get better employment or job promotions or can just give you the required confidence, knowledge, contacts, and money to start of your own either as a self-employed freelancer or as a business owner.
You can also get an opportunity to learn and invest in other assets like stocks, real estate, intellectual property, etc.
To know more about this process to move ahead in your life and career I have written an entire book that is available on Amazon which you can check out here - “How To Win A Lottery By Just Doing A Job: Win Your Work Lottery”.
3. Being In Employment And Working Hard Is Far Better Than Looking For Or Searching For Employment
As I mentioned that the only biggest financial risk in employment is a job loss and so you should value the employment that you are already in.
If for a moment you consider this entire world as a giant ocean then the numerous big and small companies, organizations, and businesses are just like the ships sailing in that ocean.
You as an individual need to survive in this economic ocean by being onboard in one of the ships.
After all how long can you survive in the ocean without being onboard a ship?
How long can you keep on swimming in this financial ocean in order to financially breathe?
You need to be on one of the ships as quickly as possible.
That means you need to be in employment by being a member of a ship more so if you do not have your own ship (business) to sail through this ocean.
Just imagine your situation when you are in the ocean swimming and desperately looking for a ship to save you. This is just like searching for a job or employment when you are unemployed and have no work.
You can understand how difficult it is to get a ship when you are thrown into the ocean.
Hence, it is always better and safer to work harder and comply with all the policies, rules, and regulations of your existing ship (employment) rather than searching for a ship (employment) when you are in the middle of the ocean swimming and struggling to get a job.
You can always later board a better and bigger ship once you are already sailing in a ship.
So, it is always advisable to do your best when you are already sailing on a ship rather than trying to burn that ship as working hard and doing your best in your existing employment is far easier than searching for new employment.
Also, remember that it is 10 times harder and more painful to get new employment when you are unemployed as compared to seeking employment when you are already in employment.
If by chance you have recently lost your job and you are currently unemployed and desperately seeking new employment and a career then I highly recommend you to read and use my report that I have created which may help you to get a job within the next 72 hours. 4. Employment Fulfills Your And Your Family’s Basic Needs
One of the other reasons why you should love your employment is that it takes care of your and your family’s basic needs.
You may not become rich and wealthy in employment but it can certainly take care of your basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, transportation, health and medical, education, etc.
Just make sure that you do not accumulate too many financial liabilities in the form of various consumer loans and personal debts.
5. Employment Status
The last reason that I want to address here in order for you to love your existing job or employment is the status.
Even today in this new economy if you are properly employed in a company or an organization then it is considered to be honorable and dignified.
Your job title and designation will talk and give you pride, status, and satisfaction in many ways.
It is far better and in many ways advantageous to be fully employed rather than your status showing as unemployed or even as part-time employment or as a freelancer.
So, I have provided you with 5 good reasons to feel lucky and blessed with your existing employment no matter what is your current situation in your job.
I hope this information will certainly guide you to make wise and better decisions in relation to your employment and career.
